Summary

This study looked at how much vitamin D sulfate is in breastmilk and whether it reaches infants. Researchers collected milk samples from 101 breastfeeding mothers before and after they took vitamin D supplements for 28 days. They also tested the babies' saliva and gut contents to see if the vitamin D sulfate was absorbed. The goal was to better understand the nutritional value of breastmilk.
