Could a simple vitamin test predict a dangerous pregnancy condition?

NCT ID NCT01648842

Summary

This study aimed to find out if low vitamin D levels in early pregnancy are linked to developing preeclampsia, a serious blood pressure condition. Researchers followed over 3,000 pregnant women in France, measuring their vitamin D levels in the first and third trimesters. The goal was to see if women who developed preeclampsia had lower vitamin D levels than those who did not.
