First seen Apr 11, 2026 · Last updated Jun 13, 2026 · Updated 11 times

Summary

This study looks at whether applying vitamin C directly to the gums can safely reduce dark spots caused by natural pigmentation. Thirty adults with dark gums will receive vitamin C as a gel, with tiny needles (microneedling), or as injections (mesotherapy). The goal is to see which method works best for a brighter, more even smile.
