Summary
This study aimed to understand how common vitamin C deficiency is among elderly people living in long-term care facilities. Researchers enrolled 100 residents over age 65 to measure their vitamin C levels through a blood test and identify factors that increase the risk of deficiency. The goal was to gather information to help prevent this often-overlooked nutritional problem in a vulnerable population.
