Summary
This study aimed to understand how common vitamin C deficiency is among elderly residents in long-term care facilities. Researchers enrolled 100 participants aged 65+ to measure their vitamin C blood levels and identify factors that increase deficiency risk. The goal was to gather information to help prevent this often-overlooked nutritional problem in vulnerable older adults.
