Vitamin b tested to speed up recovery after Life-Saving transplants
NCT ID NCT04332341
Summary
This early-stage study is testing whether a common vitamin B supplement called nicotinamide riboside (TRU NIAGEN) is safe and can help patients recover faster after a bone marrow transplant from a donor. The goal is to see if the supplement helps the donor's blood stem cells settle in and start making new blood cells more quickly, which could reduce the risk of infections and bleeding. The study will enroll about 20 patients who are eligible for this type of transplant.
