First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated Jun 17, 2026 · Updated 26 times

Summary

This study tested a visual training program for 79 adults with schizophrenia or schizoaffective disorder. The program aimed to improve two visual skills often impaired in these conditions: seeing contrast and organizing visual information. Participants completed different training exercises, and researchers measured changes in vision, reading speed, emotion recognition, and overall community functioning. The goal was to see if improving vision could help people function better in daily life.
