Laser pointer exercises may help Parkinson's patients steady their steps

NCT ID NCT07322939

First seen Jan 11, 2026 · Last updated May 24, 2026 · Updated 22 times

Summary

This study tests whether adding visual feedback exercises using a laser pointer to standard physical therapy can improve balance and mobility in people with Parkinson's disease. About 32 participants with mild to moderate Parkinson's will be split into two groups: one doing standard exercises alone, and the other adding laser-guided trunk and leg movements. The goal is to see if the extra visual cues help with postural control and daily activities.
