Baby eye tests may reveal hidden brain injury clues
NCT ID NCT05971446
First seen May 20, 2026 · Last updated May 20, 2026
Summary
This study looks at whether simple, painless eye tests can help doctors understand how well babies with hypoxic-ischemic encephalopathy (HIE) will develop. Researchers will compare eye function and brain scans in 125 newborns to see if eye exams can predict future health. The goal is to improve how HIE is diagnosed and treated.
