Video calls ease cancer patients' fears before radiation treatment
NCT ID NCT07255196
First seen Dec 10, 2025 · Last updated May 20, 2026 · Updated 27 times
Summary
This study looks at whether a video call with a radiation therapist before starting radiotherapy helps breast cancer patients feel less worried and anxious compared to a standard phone call. About 130 people will take part and fill out questionnaires at three points: when they join, after their planning scan, and after their first treatment. The goal is to see if seeing the therapist face-to-face on video makes the experience less scary.
