NCT ID NCT07375472

First seen Jan 31, 2026 · Last updated Jun 17, 2026 · Updated 16 times

Summary

This study tested three simple distraction methods—virtual reality headset, a squishy squeeze toy, and poetry reading—to see if they could help control pain after total knee replacement surgery. 140 adults were split into four groups, with three trying one of the distractions and one group receiving usual care. Pain levels were measured 24 hours after surgery using a standard pain scale.
