First seen Feb 12, 2026 · Last updated May 23, 2026 · Updated 12 times
Summary
This study tested whether using virtual reality (VR) during a colposcopic biopsy can lower pain and anxiety. Sixty women were randomly assigned to either wear VR goggles or receive standard care. Researchers measured pain with a visual scale and anxiety with a questionnaire. The goal was to see if a simple, drug-free distraction could make the procedure more comfortable.
