First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 23, 2026 · Updated 31 times

Summary

This study tests whether virtual reality (VR) can help people with obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD) by letting them safely face their fears in a computer-generated world. Thirty adults with OCD will first wait five weeks, then receive five VR therapy sessions over five weeks. Researchers will measure changes in OCD symptoms, anxiety, and mood to see if this approach works.
