VR headset could soothe mysterious chest pain

NCT ID NCT06262126

First seen Feb 15, 2026 · Last updated May 23, 2026 · Updated 19 times

Summary

This study tests if using virtual reality (VR) can improve symptoms of non-cardiac chest pain — chest pain that isn't from a heart problem. Ten adults with this condition will try VR sessions, and researchers will measure changes in pain, anxiety, and quality of life using questionnaires. The goal is to see if VR is a feasible, drug-free way to ease discomfort.
