NCT ID NCT07274111

First seen Jan 03, 2026 · Last updated May 20, 2026 · Updated 14 times

Summary

This study tested whether using virtual reality (VR) goggles before a stomach scope procedure could help children aged 6 to 15 feel less anxious, have less pain, and recover faster. 66 first-time patients were randomly assigned to either use VR or receive standard care. The VR group watched age-appropriate immersive content before the procedure. Researchers measured anxiety, pain, and recovery time to see if VR made a difference.
