First seen Jan 07, 2026 · Last updated May 21, 2026 · Updated 24 times

Summary

This study tested whether using virtual reality (VR) during wound dressing changes can reduce pain and improve sleep in adults with moderate to severe burns. Sixty patients with burns covering 25-60% of their body took part. The results showed that VR helped lower pain during the procedure and improved sleep quality compared to standard care alone.
