Virtual reality goggles calm young cancer patients during spinal chemo

NCT ID NCT07537062

First seen Apr 24, 2026 · Last updated Apr 29, 2026 · Updated 1 time

Summary

This study looks at whether wearing virtual reality glasses can lower anxiety and fear in children aged 4 to 10 with cancer who are getting a type of chemotherapy into their spine. Twenty children will be split into two groups: one group uses the VR glasses before the procedure, and the other does not. Researchers will measure the children's fear, anxiety, heart rate, and breathing to see if the VR helps them feel more at ease.
