Could watching yourself on video help treat schizophrenia?

NCT ID NCT02664129

Summary

This study tested whether watching a video of themselves recorded during a severe psychotic episode could help people with schizophrenia better understand their illness. 60 patients were randomly assigned to either watch their video or receive standard care. Researchers measured if this self-observation improved patients' awareness of their condition, treatment adherence, and daily functioning over four months.
