First seen Jan 05, 2026 · Last updated Jun 10, 2026 · Updated 19 times
Summary
This study tested whether showing patients a short video about moving after hip replacement surgery could reduce their fear of movement and pain. 96 adults scheduled for hip replacement were split into two groups: one got the usual verbal instructions, and the other also watched a video. The researchers then measured fear of movement and pain levels after surgery.
