Video therapy may ease pain after cancer surgery

Summary

This study looks at whether watching short videos with coping strategies can help patients feel less pain and distress after surgery for abdominal cancer. About 95 adults will be assigned to one of three video-based approaches, including mindfulness or other support techniques. Participants will watch videos before and after surgery and answer questions about their pain and distress over six months.
