Videos aim to ease tough End-of-Life talks for seniors and dementia families
NCT ID NCT04857060
Summary
This study tested whether specially trained educators using video guides could help older adults and people with dementia talk with their doctors and families about their wishes for end-of-life care. It involved over 11,000 hospitalized patients and their caregivers. The goal was to improve communication, document patients' preferences, and reduce stress for families making difficult decisions, especially during the COVID-19 pandemic.
