Vibrating gadget may take the ouch out of hair loss treatment

NCT ID NCT06497764

First seen Jan 29, 2026 · Last updated May 24, 2026 · Updated 13 times

Summary

This study tested whether a vibrating device could reduce pain during platelet-rich plasma (PRP) scalp treatments for hair loss. About 100 people who had already had at least one PRP treatment would have half their scalp treated with the device and the other half without, then rate their pain. The study was withdrawn before any participants were enrolled, so no results are available.
