Vibrating device may take the ouch out of hair loss treatment

NCT ID NCT06497764

First seen Jan 29, 2026 · Last updated May 07, 2026 · Updated 10 times

Summary

This study tested whether a vibrating anesthesia device can reduce pain during platelet-rich plasma (PRP) scalp treatments for alopecia (hair loss). About 100 people who had already received at least one PRP treatment would have half their scalp treated with the vibrating device and the other half without. They would then rate their pain on each side. The study was withdrawn before enrolling anyone, so no results are available.
