Shaky science: vibration training boosts balance in overweight young adults

Summary

This study looked at whether standing on a vibrating platform while doing foot exercises could improve ankle strength, balance, and body awareness in overweight and obese young adults. Twenty-six people took part in supervised sessions three times a week for eight weeks. The results may help design better exercise programs for this group.
