Could common drugs boost chemo for tough pancreatic cancer?

Summary
This study tests whether adding two common drugs—valproic acid and simvastatin—to standard chemotherapy can help people with advanced pancreatic cancer that has spread. About 240 adults who have not had prior treatment will be randomly assigned to receive chemo alone or chemo plus the two extra drugs. The main goal is to see if the combination slows cancer growth.
