Summary
This study tested a drug called vericiguat in 45 adults with metabolic syndrome (a cluster of conditions like high blood pressure, high blood sugar, and excess belly fat) and poor heart blood vessel function. The goal was to see if the drug could improve blood vessel health using MRI scans over 6 weeks. The study was completed and compared vericiguat to a placebo.
