Doctors probe link between breathing machines and brain injury severity

Summary
This study aims to understand if there is a connection between how a breathing machine is set and the severity of a patient's recent brain injury. Researchers will observe 19 adult patients who are on a ventilator due to a stroke, traumatic brain injury, or brain hemorrhage. They will measure specific breathing machine pressures and see if they correlate with the patient's level of consciousness when they first arrived.
