Summary
This study looked at how periods of reduced activity, like after surgery or injury, affect blood vessel and muscle function in older adults. Researchers measured blood flow in the arm and leg using ultrasound. The goal was to understand the role of oxidative stress in these changes. 14 people who had recently been inactive due to surgery or injury took part.
