Summary
This study follows 15,000 adults aged 45 or older who are having same-day noncardiac surgery. The goal is to find out how often heart problems or other serious events happen after these procedures and what factors increase the risk. By tracking unplanned hospital visits and admissions, researchers hope to create tools that help doctors and patients make safer choices.
