NCT ID NCT07523295
First seen Apr 24, 2026 · Last updated May 20, 2026 · Updated 4 times
Summary
This study looked at whether giving vaginal progesterone to women who had preterm labor (labor starting before 37 weeks) can safely delay delivery and improve baby health. Sixty pregnant women with a single baby between 24 and 34 weeks of pregnancy were enrolled. After initial treatment to stop contractions, half received daily vaginal progesterone and half received standard care. The study measured how long pregnancy continued and baby birth weight.
