What this could mean
Our plain-language read of the trial. This is informational only — not medical advice or a prediction.
Active substance
Vabomere (meropenem-vaborbactam)
What this could lead to
If successful, this could help determine the right dose of Vabomere for children with serious bacterial infections, potentially offering a new treatment option.
What could go wrong
This is an early Phase 1 study with only 39 children, so it's too small to prove effectiveness. The drug may cause side effects or not work as well in kids as in adults.
