Pee test may spare bladder cancer patients unnecessary surgery

Summary
This study looks at whether a simple urine test that detects tumor DNA can identify bladder cancer patients who truly need a second surgery. About 196 adults with early-stage bladder cancer will be randomly assigned to have their repeat surgery decision guided by the urine test or by standard care. The goal is to avoid unnecessary surgeries and their risks while still catching any remaining cancer.
