Summary
This study looked at 304 patients with mild to moderate acute cholangitis, a serious bile duct infection. Researchers compared doing an ERCP (a procedure to drain the bile duct) within 24 hours versus waiting 24 to 48 hours. The goal was to see if faster treatment reduces the risk of death within 30 days.
