First seen Feb 17, 2026 · Last updated Apr 28, 2026 · Updated 13 times
Summary
This study aims to find clear differences between tics (as in Tourette syndrome) and compulsions (as in OCD) by measuring brain activity and movement. Fifty patients will wear EEG headsets and smartwatches in the lab and at home. The goal is to improve diagnosis and guide better treatment choices, not to test a new therapy.
