Summary

This study aims to understand why straining during bowel movements leads to bleeding from hemorrhoids. Researchers will use a special FDA-cleared device to test pelvic floor muscle function in 100 adults who have had recent rectal bleeding. The goal is to find better ways to treat the root cause of straining and hemorrhoid symptoms.
