First seen Dec 10, 2025 · Last updated May 22, 2026 · Updated 25 times

Summary

This study aims to understand why some adults develop secondary hemophagocytic lymphohistiocytosis (sHLH), a serious immune condition that causes fevers and can be life-threatening. Researchers will follow 300 adults with sHLH for up to a year, collecting blood samples and medical information to uncover the immune system problems behind the disease. No new treatments are tested; the goal is to gather knowledge that could lead to better diagnosis and therapies in the future.
