Summary
This study aims to understand why people struggle with self-control, especially when tempted by snacks. Researchers will ask 300 adults on a diet to decide how much they would pay to avoid tempting foods, while measuring their brain activity with MRI. The goal is to uncover the mental and brain processes behind self-control costs, and how stress affects them.
