Scientists dive deep into immune response to unlock hepatitis b mysteries

NCT ID NCT07240350

First seen Nov 20, 2025 · Last updated May 24, 2026 · Updated 25 times

Summary

This study looks at how the immune system's germinal centers—special areas where immune cells learn to fight infections—work in people with chronic hepatitis B. Researchers will collect blood and tissue samples from 280 patients having surgery to study the immune cells and their response to the virus. The goal is to better understand the disease, not to test a new treatment.
