First seen May 12, 2026 · Last updated May 23, 2026 · Updated 3 times
Summary
This study looks at how a less invasive weight-loss procedure called endoscopic sleeve gastroplasty (ESG) affects stomach emptying, hormones, and gut bacteria. Researchers will compare ESG to traditional surgical sleeve gastrectomy in 40 adults with obesity. The goal is to understand why some people respond better than others to these treatments.
