First seen Feb 18, 2026 · Last updated May 01, 2026 · Updated 12 times
Summary
This study looked at how obesity before pregnancy might affect the cells in the uterus that help with labor. Researchers used blood and tissue samples from 38 women having C-sections to see if inflammation and other factors change how these cells work. The goal is to better understand why obese women often have more delivery problems.
