Sound waves zapping kidney fat could tame blood pressure

Summary
This study tests a new treatment that uses focused ultrasound to modify fat around the kidney, aiming to lower blood pressure in people with essential hypertension. About 30 adults whose blood pressure remains high despite medication will be randomly assigned to receive the ultrasound or a sham procedure. The main goal is to see if the treatment safely reduces blood pressure over one month.
