First seen Jan 23, 2026 · Last updated May 16, 2026 · Updated 15 times

Summary

This study tests whether using focused ultrasound to modify fat around the kidney can lower blood pressure in people with essential hypertension. About 30 adults with mild high blood pressure despite medication will be randomly assigned to the ultrasound treatment or a sham procedure. The main goal is to see if the treatment safely reduces 24-hour blood pressure after one month.
