First seen Jan 09, 2026 · Last updated May 22, 2026 · Updated 18 times
Summary
This study tested whether adding a special ultrasound treatment to vibration massage helps loosen tight calf muscles in people with knee osteoarthritis. Sixty adults aged 40 to 60 with moderate knee OA took part. They were split into three groups: one got standard care, another added vibration massage, and the third got both vibration and high-power pain threshold ultrasound. The goal was to see if the combo improved calf flexibility, pain, and knee function over 12 sessions.
