New ultrasound technique could sharpen cancer detection

Summary
This study is testing a new type of ultrasound called multiparametric ultrasound (mpUS) to see if it can give doctors more detailed information about tissue in the pancreas and thyroid. Researchers will compare mpUS images to standard ultrasound and other tests. The goal is to learn if mpUS can better show blood vessels and tissue structure, which might help improve cancer evaluation. About 85 people at high risk for pancreatic cancer or with thyroid nodules will take part.
