First seen Feb 13, 2026 · Last updated May 21, 2026 · Updated 15 times

Summary

This study will compare two ultrasound-guided techniques (Direct vs. Seldinger) for inserting a small tube into the wrist artery of 242 adults undergoing heart surgery. The goal is to see which method succeeds on the first try more often in patients expected to have difficult access. Results may help doctors choose the best approach for safer, faster monitoring during surgery.
