Scientists test ultrasound glasses to restore sight
NCT ID NCT05914233
Summary
This early study is testing whether a wearable ultrasound device can safely stimulate the retina to restore vision in people with age-related macular degeneration (AMD) or retinitis pigmentosa (RP). Five participants will receive gentle ultrasound pulses through the device and report what they see. The main goal is to check if this non-invasive approach is safe and shows any early signs of helping vision.
