Summary
This study tested whether using a special ultrasound probe during surgery helps surgeons make better decisions when removing endometriosis from the rectum. It involved 10 patients scheduled for a specific surgical technique called 'rectal shaving.' The goal was to see if the live ultrasound images could help the surgeon confirm they had removed all the diseased tissue or if a more extensive procedure was needed.
