Summary

This study tested whether low-intensity focused ultrasound (LIFU) can safely reduce cravings in people with cocaine use disorder. 25 adults received either real or fake (sham) ultrasound while their brain activity was measured with MRI. The goal was to see if LIFU lowers craving scores and changes brain signals linked to cocaine cues.
