First seen Nov 20, 2025 · Last updated Apr 30, 2026 · Updated 15 times

Summary

This early-stage study tests whether a special ultrasound device can safely open the blood-brain barrier in children with hard-to-treat brain tumors. The goal is to let chemotherapy reach the tumor more effectively. About 24 children aged 5 to 17 will receive ultrasound before their chemo drug, carboplatin.
