Do extreme runners catch more colds? science investigates
NCT ID NCT06089174
Summary
This study investigated whether people who run ultramarathons get more infections like colds and sore throats in the weeks after a race. Researchers compared 471 ultramarathon runners with their non-running companions who lived in the same home. They tracked symptoms for 21 days after the race to see if runners were more likely to get sick.
